Best time to post on TikTok today
The tool shows today’s best times for your audience. If your followers live in another time zone, pick it, and you’ll see the times on your own clock.
Best times to post on TikTok for each day of the week
| Day | Best times | How strong |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 3–7 p.m. | Good |
| Tuesday | 2–4 p.m. and 8 p.m. | Strongest |
| Wednesday | 2–4 p.m. and 7–8 p.m. | Strongest |
| Thursday | 1–4 p.m. and 8 p.m. | Strongest |
| Friday | 3–5 p.m. and 8 p.m. | Good |
| Saturday | 3–5 p.m. and 8 p.m. | Studies disagree |
| Sunday | 9–10 a.m. | Studies disagree |
Best time to post on TikTok on Monday: 3–7 p.m.
Sprout Social points to 3–5 p.m. and SocialPilot to 5–7 p.m., so late afternoon into early evening is the safe pick. Buffer’s best Monday slot is earlier, at 1 p.m.
Best time to post on TikTok on Tuesday: 2–4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
One of the strongest days. Sprout Social’s window is 2–6 p.m. and SocialPilot names 2–4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Buffer is the outlier here, with 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Best time to post on TikTok on Wednesday: 2–4 p.m. and 7–8 p.m.
Sprout Social’s widest window of the week is Wednesday, 1–8 p.m. SocialPilot also lists 2–4 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Metricool’s data favors the evening.
Best time to post on TikTok on Thursday: 1–4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Early afternoon has the most agreement of any day: Sprout Social (1–5 p.m.), SocialPilot (2–4 p.m.) and Buffer (1 p.m.) all land there.
Best time to post on TikTok on Friday: 3–5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Sprout Social names 3–5 p.m. and SocialPilot 1–3 p.m. Buffer’s Friday results lean to the evening (6, 8 and 10 p.m.), which matches Metricool’s evening peak.
Best time to post on TikTok on Saturday: 3–5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The studies split here. Sprout Social says to skip weekends, but Buffer found Saturday the best day of the week, with its top slots at 3, 4 and 5 p.m. SocialPilot also lists 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Best time to post on TikTok on Sunday: 9–10 a.m.
Sprout Social says Sunday is the weakest day. But Buffer’s single best slot of the whole week is Sunday at 9 a.m., and SocialPilot also names 9–10 a.m. If you post on Sundays, post in the morning.
What 4 studies found
| Study | What it measured | Best days | Best times |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sprout Social (March 2026) | ~2 billion engagements, 307,000 profiles, Nov 2025–Feb 2026 | Tuesday–Thursday; avoid weekends | 2–6 p.m. |
| Buffer (September 2026) | 7.1 million posts, median engagement rate | Saturday, then Monday and Sunday | Sunday 9 a.m., Monday 1 p.m., Sunday 1 p.m. |
| SocialPilot | 700,000 posts from 50,000+ accounts, Jan–Dec 2025 | Tuesday–Thursday | 2–4 p.m. and 8 p.m. most days |
| Metricool (2026) | 2.3 million posts from 92,000+ accounts | — | Late afternoon and evening, around 8 p.m. |
Put together, two windows keep coming up: mid-afternoon (2–4 p.m.) and evening (around 8 p.m.). That’s a good place to start before you have your own data.
Why the studies disagree
The studies aren’t wrong. They measure different things:
- Different accounts. Sprout Social’s customers are mostly businesses and larger brands. Buffer’s users include more creators and small businesses, which may be why weekends score better in Buffer’s data.
- Different scores. Sprout Social counts total engagements, Buffer uses the median engagement rate, and Metricool ranks by views. A slot can win on one and lose on another.
- Different audiences. A student audience, a parent audience and an office audience are on TikTok at different hours.
So treat any study’s best time as a starting point, then test it with your own followers.
Which time zone to use
Use your audience’s time zone, not yours. Every time on this page is local time for the viewer. If most of your followers are in New York, “8 p.m.” means 8 p.m. in New York.
To see where your followers are, open TikTok’s analytics (in TikTok Studio, or from your profile on a business or creator account) and look at the Followers tab. It shows your followers’ top locations and the hours they’re most active.
How to find your own best time to post
Studies give you a start. Two weeks of testing gives you an answer for your account:
- 1
Pick two slots
For example 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays, in your audience’s time zone.
- 2
Post at each slot for two weeks
Keep the type of video similar, so the time is the main thing that changes.
- 3
Compare after 3 days
Check each video’s views and engagement three days after posting, once the first push is over.
- 4
Keep the winner, test a new slot
Drop the weaker slot and try a new one, like Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.
How much does posting time matter on TikTok?
Less than on most platforms. TikTok’s For You feed keeps showing a good video to new people for days, sometimes weeks. Timing mostly matters in the first hours, when early views and likes help TikTok decide whether to show your video to more people.
A strong video posted at an average time will beat a weak video posted at the perfect time. Use the best time to give each video a good start, and post regularly so your followers know when to expect you.
Post at the right time without being online
The best times often land when you’re busy: 8 p.m. on a weeknight, Sunday morning, or the middle of the night when your audience is in another country. Scheduling solves it.
In PostMax you upload the video, write the caption, pick TikTok’s privacy setting and choose the exact minute. It goes out on time even when your laptop is off. You can post the same video to Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts at once, with a different caption for each. Our guide on posting to all social media at once covers the video size that works everywhere.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best time to post on TikTok today?
On weekdays, 2–4 p.m. and around 8 p.m. in your audience’s time zone are the safest picks. On Saturday, try 3–5 p.m. On Sunday, try 9–10 a.m. The tool on this page shows today’s times and converts them to your own clock if your audience lives somewhere else.
What is the best day to post on TikTok?
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, according to Sprout Social and SocialPilot. Buffer’s 2026 study of 7.1 million posts found Saturday the best day instead, so test both midweek and Saturday with your own audience.
What is the best time to post on TikTok on Sunday?
9–10 a.m. in your audience’s time zone. Buffer found Sunday at 9 a.m. to be the best slot of the whole week, and SocialPilot also lists 9 and 10 a.m. Sprout Social, on the other hand, recommends avoiding Sundays, so watch your own results.
What is the best time to post on TikTok on Saturday?
3–5 p.m. Buffer’s three best Saturday times are 5, 4 and 3 p.m., and SocialPilot also lists 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sprout Social’s data, mostly from business accounts, suggests weekends are slower.
Does the time you post on TikTok really matter?
It matters less than the video itself. TikTok keeps showing a good video to new people for days, so timing mostly helps in the first hours, when early views and likes tell TikTok whether to show it to more people. Post when your followers are online, then focus on the content.
Should I use my time zone or my audience’s time zone?
Your audience’s. All the times on this page are in the local time of the people watching. If you’re in India and your followers are in the US, 8 p.m. means 8 p.m. in the US, which is the next morning for you. Check where your followers are in TikTok’s analytics.
